Ollie McLeod & Jen Lovelace
With over 20 years combined experience coaching in Australia, New Zealand, Puerto Rico and USA, Ollie and Jen know what they're doing!
Jennifer Lovelace started teaching surf lessons back in 2004 in Virginia Beach, VA. She moved to St. Augustine in 2006 and continued teaching lessons on the weekends. After meeting Ollie in 2012, she knew he would be great coach, as kids just loved him! Together they helped run summer surf camps with St Augustine Surf School until they travelled back to Australia. Both Jen and Ollie were professionally trained and accredited by the ISA (International Surfing Associaton) in Byron Bay Australia where they ran daily surf lesson adventures for backpacker groups of up to 25 per day!
Their next adventure to Puerto Rico in 2014 had them surf guiding and coaching from beginner to intermediate. In 2016, they moved New Zealand to manage the Karioi Lodge and Raglan Surf School. Expecting their second baby they moved back to St. Augustine in 2017 and started Happy Waves!
ISA CERTIFIED
Both Oli McLeod and Jennifer Lovelace have been certified by the International Surfing Association (ISA) as Level One Surf Coaches, so you can be sure you're in safe hands! The ISA ensures all coaches are trained in Advance First Aid, CPR and water safety to the same level as the Lifeguard Association.
